In April 2011, MCAT/MERJ requested feedback about potentially resurrecting an alternative local newsletter/newspaper source in the MERJ area, and 24 community members confirmed that such a resource was needed and that they were willing to participate in its production.
More than half the survey respondents had read previous issues of "Act Locally," and 75% agreed that the MERJ area needs an alternative local newsletter/newspaper.
Most people preferred an electronic newsletter format, and about half of the respondents indicated at least some level of interest in helping produce a local newsletter. As follow-up to this survey, MCAT/MERJ now requests feedback about the title, format, timing, and distribution for the e-newsletter: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/3QRJ6HD.
